Contact infection of hepatitis B

Question: My nephew discovered hepatitis B. Can my child get from it? We live together, and children in contact with each other. Thanks in advance for the answer.

Answer: Hepatitis B is transmitted only if the virus penetrates directly into the blood. In household contact person is not contagious, but it should be provided with personal hygiene, which may be blood: soap, shampoo, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. The child is better to instill a vaccine against hepatitis B, as well as all family members.
