Chlamydia
Question: I found a girl with Chlamydia. Analysis of blood, I – IgG 1. 61 ISR, IgA – 1. 30 ISR. Also, I was taking sperm and urine for planting, nothing found. Uzi – everything is normal. Female – IgG 2. 75 ISR, IgA – 1. 29 ISR. We designated treatment – avtogemoterapiyu 2-4-6-8-10-10-8-6-4-2 ml (for an aggravation immunity), tinidazole (2 days), Zanotsin (5 days). After 1 month, we passed the blood test again. I – IgG 1. 89 ISR, IgA – 1. 49 ISR. Female – IgG 3. 72 ISR, IgA – 1. 64 ISR. Gynecologist, prescribers, very surprised, and sent us to a dermatologist, who said that this is possible and we must wait another 3 months and then retake the analysis. Questions: 1) What can you say about the prescribed treatment? 2) What is the probability of false-positive analysis? 3) What to do?
Thanks.
Answer: Comment absentia purpose other doctors simply unethical and impossible because I do not know you have not seen on admission, and not to make the analysis that I believe are necessary in your situation. Each person is individual and with the same diagnosis often assigns different treatment. In medicine, there can be no standard procedure. If you are talking about the method of ELISA, apart from the usual scrapings for analysis by the ELISA and the blood is taken. The method not only identify the causative agent, but also tells you what stage of chlamydial infection is – in the acute or chronic. The first antibodies appeared at 10 20 th day of illness. Then there are other antibodies that may indicate the doctor to chronic chlamydia, or re-infection or on the activation of previously poorly treated chlamydia. But the accuracy and the analysis for chlamydia does not exceed 60%. . I think that the analysis should retake.
